School Readiness

The School Readiness Program offers financial assistance to low-income families for early education and care so they can become financially self-sufficient and their young children can be successful in school in the future.

Helping EVERY Child Succeed!

The Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County is authorized under Florida Statute to establish policies, procedures and standards for the delivery of the School Readiness Program. School Readiness providers are required to meet minimum quality standards, that include:  

  • Providing developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum instruction.
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are met.
  • Offering developmental screenings to identify any developmental delays as early as possible.
  • Conducting pre- and post-testing to chart the individual progress made by each child.

As school readiness providers, you realize that all children deserve an equal opportunities to learn early and often. It’s up to you to ensure they’re ready, willing and able to become tomorrow’s leaders.

School Readiness Curriculum Packages

The Office of Early Learning (OEL) as collaborated with publishers of approved curricula to create and provide resources to support implementation of curricula approved for use in school readiness programs.
