VPK Lead Teacher

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Provide supervision of students
Implement curriculum; develop daily lesson plans
Monitor, assess and report progress of student academic performance and behavior
Maintain student records
Monitor attendance and provide reports
Ensure the health and safety of students
Maintain a clean and orderly classroom
Operate a variety of classroom and office equipment including audio visual equipment as necessary.
Communicate with teachers, staff, administrators, and parents
Administer basic first aid to children as needed; prepare accident reports as necessary.
Attend staff meetings/trainings as required.
Qualifications:

• CDA or Early Education college equivalent, minimum

• Knowledge of child development and early learning standards

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build relationships with children, families, and staff

• Proficiency in computer software and technology

• Possess and maintain a current DCF staff credential/VPK teachers must have VPK certification

Have a mature relationship with Jesus Christ and be actively engaged in the ministry at New Hope.
