Assistant Teacher — Join Our Founding Team

Kiddie Academy of Lutz is opening a brand-new academy in October 2026, and we are hiring Assistant Teachers for all age groups: Infant, Toddler, Twos, Preschool, and VPK.

If you are caring, dependable, energetic, and love working with children, this is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new school and grow with us from the very beginning.

You’ll be part of a founding team with brand-new classrooms, new equipment, new toys, and fresh classroom materials. You’ll also receive support and training before our students arrive so you can feel confident and prepared for opening day.

Your Role

As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a safe, fun, and nurturing classroom where children can learn and thrive.

You’ll help:

Support daily classroom activities and learning experiences
Supervise and actively engage with children
Assist with lesson plans and curriculum activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
Support meals, nap time, transitions, and daily routines
Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
Encourage children’s social, emotional, and educational development
Follow academy policies and Florida childcare licensing requirements
Work as part of a supportive and collaborative teaching team
What We’re Looking For

Childcare or preschool experience preferred
Florida DCF 45-Hour Training completed or willingness to complete within the required timeframe
CDA preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive, dependable, and professional attitude
Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day
Must meet Florida childcare licensing requirements
