Lead PreK 2 teacher at Westtown Christian Academy must be an active follower of Christ & love the story of scripture to share with children.  Responsible for providing safe, caring and developmentally appropriate learning environment that adheres with all childcare licensing standards.  Needs to be a healthy, energetic person who enjoys physical activity and enjoy being with children.  One must be nurturing, flexible, and conduct oneself as a Christian role model.  We are looking for someone who will step in wherever needed, work with our team and with parents effectively and lovingly.

Description of Duties include but are not limited to:

¨ Plan and conduct an effective lesson plan that meets the physical, emotional, social, intellectual child in their care.

¨ Implement routines that are prompt, hygienic and consistent to ensure the success of the children and the program. This includes diapering, potty training, hand washing, eating, napping and transitioning between activities and place-to-place.

¨ Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space and proper maintenance of supplies and equipment.

¨ Create a pleasant and inviting classroom environment in which children feel free to learn, discover and ask questions and promote self expression.
