Assistant Teacher

Kiddie Academy of Lutz is preparing for our grand opening this October and is now hiring Assistant Teachers for all age groups, including Infant, Toddler, Twos, Preschool, and VPK classrooms.

We are looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic educators who are passionate about supporting children’s growth and development in a positive early childhood environment.

Position Summary

Assistant Teachers support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment while helping implement daily routines, learning activities, and classroom management practices aligned with Florida childcare licensing standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of childcare or preschool experience preferred
Completion of Florida DCF 45 Hour Training required or willingness to complete within required timeframe
CDA credential preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and professionalism
Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day
Must meet all state licensing requirements for employment in a childcare facility
Responsibilities

Assist with daily classroom activities and supervision
Support implementation of lesson plans and curriculum activities
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
Follow academy policies and Florida licensing standards
Assist with classroom transitions, meals, and nap routines
