Alina Shaffer is the Director of Human Resources and Talent Management for Tampa Electric. With over twenty years of leadership experience in the Human Resources field across multiple industries, Alina has a proven track record of designing and implementing people strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Alina holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, and a master’s degree in human resource management from Webster University. She completed the HR Executive Education Leadership program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and holds a certificate in Labor Relations from Cornell University.
Over her career, Alina has been involved with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and contributed as a member of the Forbes HR Council. Alina was recognized by the Florida Diversity Council as a recipient of the Most Powerful & Influential Women Award. She has been a member of the University of South Florida’s Women in Leadership and Philanthropy and served as a mentor with the University of South Florida’s Corporate Mentoring program.
Alina resides in Tampa with her husband and two children and enjoys spending time at the beach with her family.
