Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual leader to serve as the Center Director for our vibrant community center in Tampa, Florida . This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of program development, staff management, and community engagement to foster an inclusive environment that promotes educational growth and cultural enrichment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education administration, strategic planning, and leadership to drive the center’s mission forward. Duties
Lead the overall management and strategic planning of the community center, aligning programs with organizational goals and community needs
Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development to cultivate a motivated and effective team
Develop and oversee budgets, ensuring financial sustainability while maximizing resource allocation for programs and services
Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that support bilingual populations, fostering language development and cultural awareness
Build strong partnerships with local organizations, schools, and stakeholders to expand outreach and enhance service delivery
Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Promote an inclusive environment that encourages community participation, volunteerism, and feedback for continuous improvement
Requirements
Proven experience in management or leadership roles within education administration or community services
Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to set clear goals and execute effective action plans
Expertise in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation within a nonprofit or educational setting
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with diverse populations
Background in university-level teaching or curriculum development is highly desirable
Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal skills to motivate staff and engage community members
Knowledge of best practices in education administration and experience working with culturally diverse groups
Knowledge in the USDA Food Program, teaching strategies, creative curriculum. Step-up for Children is a plus
