Dr. Stephanie (Stephie) Kaye Holmquist is President and CEO of Holmquist Educational Consultants, Inc., a national career and technology education consulting firm in business since 1998. She has also served as the Associate Director of the David C. Anchin Center and an Adjunct Instructor at the University of South Florida- College of Education. Stephie was an adjunct instructor in Aviation Technology as well as Career and Technical Education at St. Petersburg College.
She received a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida in Career and Workforce Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on Educational Robotics. Stephie has authored international STEM curriculum and consults globally in the area of Career and Technical Education and academic integration, specializing in STEM/STEAM education and professional development. She recently served as a panelist at Brown University on Societal Implications of Robotics. Her programs have won numerous state and national awards. She began her career as the director of the Professional Children’s Theatre in Tampa, FL, then became the Outreach Coordinator and Director of K.I.D.S. at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa, and then Director of Education and Marketing at Great Explorations the Hands-On Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Stephie is an active volunteer in the Tampa Bay community including: Currently serving on the Editorial Review Board for the ITEEA Technology and Engineering Journal, current board member of the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, current Tampa Junior Achievement Board Member, Event Partner/Coordinator and Sponsor the State of Florida VEX Robotics Competition 2012-Present, Lead Event Partner VEX Robotics National Signature Event- University of South Florida 2019, past USF Foundation Board member, Past Chair-Government Relations Committee, USF Foundation, past member of USF Foundation Nominating and Development Committee, Past Chair and member for 19 years – Dean’ Circle- College of Education at the University of South Florida, past board member Children’s Board of Tampa Advisory Board Council, past Board Member
Technology Student Association National and Florida State Coordinator for System Control Technology and Desktop Publishing, past Technology Student Association coordinator & judge for Georgia and Connecticut State Competitions, past National Judge for Skills USA Engineering Competition. Former Board Member-FL TSA, Skills USA National Technical Committee Member for Mobile Robotics , recipient of numerous professional educational awards from EPT, FTEA, TSA, and FACTE. Recipient of the “Order of the Golden Brahman”, University of South Florida, Recipient of the University of South Florida College of Education “Spirit of Partnership” Award 2016, Established the “Holmquist Educational Consultants, Inc. Scholarship” in Career and Technical Education at The University of South Florida College of Education.
