Dear Community Partners and Providers:

It is with great disappointment that we report to you our Planning Committee’s decision to suspend the 2010 Week of the Young Child Family Fun Day Celebration that was scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2010 in Al Lopez Park. 

As we are all aware, the current economic picture for many local agencies and our provider community is challenging and in many cases difficult.  With so many of our event supporters and donors facing fiscal challenges, the WOYC Planning Committee was unable to secure the necessary funding to host our fantastic annual Family Fun Day event.  We thank everyone for the time and effort invested in planning the event.  In hopes of a rebounding economy in 2011, we will hold onto the work we’ve done this year and reconvene in late fall of 2010 to begin looking forward to and planning a WOYC event for 2011!  Please keep WOYC on your list of ‘To Do’ events for 2011.We thank everyone for their support and look forward to working with you in 2011!
