Palm Avenue Tampa, Florida 33605 Description This Quality Counts for Kids Program workshop will focus on understanding the need for a Parent Handbook, what rules and standards you should include in your handbook, and how to organize and write a Parent Handbook for your child care center. Additional Description	8th	9th Thursday February 9th 2012 - PRINT Introduction to the ECERS-R Date & Time: 2012-02-09 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Location The Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County 1002 E. Palm Avenue Tampa, FL 33605 (near the corner of Palm & Nebraska) Description This two-part training is for childcare center directors and or/teachers that have applied and been accepted to the Quality Counts for Kids program. The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS-R) is used to gather information about the learning environments of children 30 months to 5 years old in childcare programs. This ECERS-R training addresses the Learning Environment and Professional Development Standards of the Quality Counts for Kids Program. The first part of the training will focus on how to use the scale and allow for the participant to go back to her program and assess the quality of an individual classroom. Participants will receive the ECERS-R Scale and the “All about the ECERS-R” book (A $70 value). COST: There is a $25.00 fee for this 2-part training series. Attendees must register by submitting a Quality Counts for Kids Training registration form (available on the Quality Counts for Kids page of this web site) along with their payment. Palm Avenue Tampa, FL 33605 Description This all day training is for family child care providers who have applied and been accepted to the Quality Counts for Kids program. The Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale - Revised (FCCERS-R) is used to gather information about the learning environments of Family Child Care programs. This FCCERS-R training addresses the Learning Environment and Professional Development Standards of the Quality Counts for Kids Program. The first part of the training will focus on how to use the scale including scoring and practice video exercises. There will be time for self assessment and discussion. Participants will also receive the FCCERS-R Scale. (An $18 value). COST: The fee for this session is $25.00 which includes a box lunch. This course will prepare participants to implement Creative Curriculum for FCCH as their curriculum. Providers who have not previously received a FCCH Kit from School Readiness will be given one if they complete the 15 hour course. This training is delivered over three days.
